Just listed on eBay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Roman-Silv...564141?hash=item443cb978ad:g:rxgAAOSwaRhczuQV What a rarity!! What a steal that it starts only at $59! And it comes with a nice box too! Sadly, I only have the variant with 'WRL' stamped on the obverse.
I wrote to the seller and pointed out all of the issues. I guess you or others did as well because the listed was ended a minute ago . Edited: Wow, that seller responded to my PM immediately and took action immediately. Good for him/her.
'This listing was ended by the seller because the item was lost or broken.' lol At any rate, if anyone was dying to get that rare variant, perhaps this seller has one. http://www.westair-reproductions.com/
That's pretty rare too. It makes you wonder how they acquired a museum replica and thought it was genuinely ancient?
If the seller knows nothing about ancient coins, maybe the person who sold it to them said it was authentic and, not knowing any better, they believed it.
The legend is counterclockwise and reads T CAESAR IMP VESPASIANVS. The legend begins at ~5:00, just to the right of the point of the bust.
Does that mean my Nero with WRL on both sides is worth Eleventeen fousand dorra ? Off to create a listing
