I have a question. It says that there will be graders there to do " on site " grading. What does that typically cost???
Im not sure, but i always had the feeling it was expensive! Check PCGS and NGC websites, they usually have a show schedule and a price list.
i dont know ron guth from pcgs used to do it for free just the grading not the slabbing. i guess we will find out the at the central states show i am thinking maybe he will do it for me at $20 a pop
I cant find any info on the prices for " on site grading" oh well. I guess ill just have to carry all the things i want graded
WOW that just showed me that I really dont know much. I thought there was just grading???? There is different type of grading for paper currency???
what do you mean different types of grading? They only use 1 scale, albiet each company uses their own, but they are all similar.
NO....Spock said to submit it for regular grading,? I know there is only one scale that is used. SO does he mean to just send the bills in and not get them graded on site?
he means to send it in to be graded using their normal service as opposed to getting it graded specailly at the show. And yes.. there are several ways to get the notes graded in this manner. The TPG's offer any service you can imagine ... anythign to make an extra buck .. but keep in mind, in the end, whatever service you choose, if they grade your note VF-20, its VF-20. The grade is the same. If you have a note that you want graded RIGHT NOW, and dont care about the extra cost of show grading... by golly have fun lol. But if you can wait a bit, and care to save a few bucks.. i would follow the normal procedure to having the TPG grade it.
Thats what I figured I know there is only one scale for grading silly....lol but maybe I should get an opinion first before i send all these bills away.
i would! i would take any notes to a dealer or a friend who is good with grading. With the value of a note drasticaly changing fromone grade tothe next - if the note doesnt grade what you think, it might not be worth getting it graded ... good luck, and post pics... im in a drought lol
