No, it isn't. That's the rose on an ancient coin of Rhodes, or an imitation of a coin from Rhodes. @Ptachia- I merged your two duplicate threads about this coin into this one thread. Better pictures of both sides, and perhaps the weight in grams as well, would be needed to know whether or not it is authentic. When you take those pictures, post them on the Ancient Coin Forum. Edit: never mind. PS- however, it looks like a cast copy to me rather than an authentic ancient coin. Based on what I see in that photo, I am 99% convinced it is a modern fake. Here is a pseudo-Rhodian (Macedonian) coin I had which features the same sort of rose on the reverse.
I just saw the second picture (the smaller thumbnail image in the original post) which I somehow missed the first time around. That pretty much cinches it. What you have here is not a real coin, and likely not even a coin at all. It doesn't even look like real silver. It appears to be a one-sided replica that copies the design of the ancient coins of Rhodes, as mentioned. It might have been mounted on something. But it is not a real ancient coin, of that much I am now 100% certain.
Sure would've been nice if it were real. I recently sold the coin pictured above for $1,265. But it was a Choice Mint State example.
