    Hi,
I found this coin a few months ago near Frederick, MD in the U.S. I'm not sure about the origin or time period. I'm hoping someone on the forum could help me out with ID. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Adamstown

I found it about 6 or 7 miles South of Frederick in Adamstown. It was found a few hundred yards from the older part of Adamstown where the ground had been disturbed during new development.

I failed at this one, I am learning how to ID coins, maybe not by dates. I do know this town has a lot of history. They have the Carroll Manor Fire Company Carnival every year since 1953. It might be from there, but I could be way off on this. Maybe someone else could help on this Sorry. Cheryl

I can't find anything on Google about a significant event in Maryland in 1721.
