1944-D, D over S

    Reading through Varieties section of the 2020 Red Book. Decided to take a glance at this coin. Not the best pic, so I need to buy a decent webcam, can't rely on my iphone for pics.

    I see the numeral 1 and 9 has circulation hits.. Same thing happened to the Mint Mark.

    I agree with @paddyman98 .
    The coin has seen circulation wear and has taken a few hits in its time. Nice collection booklet! Looks like you have a nice start on your collection!

    Thanks, it's taken a long time considering I don't buy internet coins. Almost complete though.
