    Hi again,
I was wondering if there was a specific term for this type of die crack? I have hear them called rim to rim dicracks and bicecting die cracks.

I was also wondering if they are rare? I have searched alot of coins but this is the first I have found. Thanks

This is the only photo I have available at the moment.

    Hi:)
Imho, this is called plating blisters. This error type occurs only on copper-plated zinc cents from 1982 to the present.
If it was before 1982 then it would be a die crack. Unless it’s on a copper 1982.

Meow has not ever seen a new penny that looked like that before. Highly unusual to see such bold plating blisters on a coin with no other areas like it. The coins looks totally BU too. Are you sure they are plating blisters?? Meow has looked at 10s of thousands of pennies, and not ever seen anything close to this.

Imho, from my understanding they are called linear blisters.
The linear blisters run parallel to the planchet striations present on the unstruck portions of the coin.
Creating of what looks like lines or streaks on the coin.
