Just picked this up at auction. Does everything look legit?

From them, I can't tell if it is real.

But, in the future, avoid them

The coin might be real, and I can't tell if the scratches are on the coin or the case.
    MS64 doesn't seem right.

Over graded for sure. And the spotting is a negative. At the right price idI be in.

The imperfections are mostly on the case, but I cannot change it unless I have it regraded - Maybe I will try to polish the case somehow. I have been looking online at other coins and how they grade them - It is not out of the realm of possibility that this coin is a MS64 (especially with the case cleaned) - Basically coins are mainly graded on the condition of the bust or cameo, strange but true - I have seen some "Graded" MS60's and higher that I wouldn't even want for free.

If the spots on the obverse are on the slab, that’s a plus for you. If they are on coin, and you paid anywhere near Unc. money, you can chalk up what you paid to your numismatic education.

Coins in holders like this are raw coins. They can less than raw coins if they are counterfeit or altered. The coin looks to be genuine from the photos.
