    What's going on with this coin? Is this a defect or just dmg? Also..the 9 and 4 look somewhat doubled.

    kind of looks like someone struck the collar with a hammer, would need closer examination at the date, but I don't think it has any numismatic value due to the damage?

    You mean the Rim..

    It is what I call DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged.
    The issue on the date is called DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling considered worthless doubling and nothing at all to do with a true Doubled Die issue. Common on Copper Plated Zinc Cents.
