Welcome to CoinTalk @Licine "Doubled die" or "die doubling" are the correct terms. ...and I don't think so, but I am not an expert. One will be along to let you know if there is die doubling on your coin. Also, the poll doesn't make sense. Don't think it's necessary.
Welcome to CT, Licene. It would be easier for us to help you if you'd tell us what you see and where.
Please im new at this and i don't know my way around the sight as of yet . thank you for your patience.
The A's are different I think may " in God we trust" something there but not sure If you look under the eagle feet i think there is something written there.
Hi again @Licine - I wouldn't worry about removing the poll this time. Just think whether it is really necessary in your future posts. Post your questions and try to tell us what you think you are seeing. If you think you see doubling, tell us where you think you see it. Also, you will want to do some searching on the Internet to begin to read about coins and errors and varieties, doubling, machine doubling, post mint damage and such things. There is so much to learn about coins and what does and can happen to them from the mixing of the metals to make the sheet of metal from which the planchettes are produced to damage people intentionally inflict upon coins when they have nothing better to do with their time. Take a deep breath and spend some time on this website searching for things you have questions about - like doubling - and you will see what our experts have written before. You'll start to get a sense of what is true die doubling and what is not. Again, welcome to CoinTalk P.s. One other thing...when you are taking photos of your coins to post here, cut out (crop out) all the extraneous space around your coin. That will allow us to get to see your coin better. LaC
You can't! It is too late, but don't worry. A lot of people make the mistake of thinking that they can delete it, but once you make that first mouse click on the Poll section, there is no backing out. You must finish it. You won't believe some of the crazy things that are listed in some polls. Yours is actually reasonably sensible compared to most. Chris
Your coin has nothing but circulation damage. After 49 years, this is expected. The advice given you by LaCointessa is some of the best advice you will ever receive. Cropping your photos is important, too.
