Must be for the Red Cross deal.

I only thought they used them for the Chinese Pandas.

Only the Pandas come with red inserts... Communist Red.

Red is China's color. Where do Pandas live?

There are a multitude of special slabs and many are for bulk or special arrangements with dealers (like HSN).

They also used the red insert on the Palau Coca-Cola bottle cap coin.

I know it sounds gimmicky, but I wouldn't mind owning one of those.

You never heard of the kids animated movie called Kung Fu Panda? :panda:

From an economic perspective, the Chinese are capitalists. But the color certainly seems to be appropriate.

Nope. No kids at home and the grandkids are grown.

While I am an NGC fan and appreciate the different slabs and labels they produce for some special instances, some just seem to hype up what would otherwise be a common, uninteresting coin.

I like the 2019 panda. That looks cool. I wasnt aware of the red slabs either.

There are some borderline comments being made on a subject we don't discuss here, so let's let that part end and stick to talking about the slabs :)

I refuse to get involved with Chinese coins because their government has yet to crack down on the conterfeiters who are still sending their junk counterfeit coins, mostly American, to this country.
