Is this a type of mechanical doubling

    please note the E in e pluribus Unum on the reverse
    of this 2015 D Louisiana state quarter. Seems to be

    Dang,that E looks wild,almost looks tripled. I'm no expert so I cant give a definite answer,but cool find.

    I think they are National Park (NP) quarters, instead of state quarters...

    I see similar effects on Misaligned Die Strike (MAD) NP quarters. Pretty nice.

    I recall somewhere mentioning that Mr Diamond has written a CoinWorld article (could be current April 2019 issue) about this type of "doubled characters" in NP quarters. Unfortunately, I am not a magazine subscriber, so I can't confirm.
