I have an opportunity to buy a couple hundred rolls of mint rolls of pennies from 2010-2012 at face value. Would this be worth while it snach up save a few and turn rest I to bank? Anyway there is a high grade coin in those rolls? They r in rolls that someone would have bought directly from the mint. Also have $20 face of wheaties that they r offering for 3x face but I think that's a tad high.
That's um, on one hand the mints stamped billions of each witch is why it may not make sence to tote them around 30 years, to still find its a common, not worth much, but you never know, and being that they are always going to be inexpensive, and worth face, you cant loose. id go 2 cents on the Wheaties if you think mabie they haven't been searched for possible errors and keys. for me its the joy of the search. because ive made stupid investments all my life.
Do you want them? There may be some errors in the rolls, and if you have the time and desire it might be fun. You won't get rich, but...
Do you have a photo of the wrappers? I've never seen Mint-wrapped rolls of pennies issued for each year. Chris
those appear to be us mint wrappers, Id certainly purchase them. I searched on ebay, shield cent rolls 2010 and up selling for 8-10$ ebay, check it.
At face would be fine, the wheats are a bit high but who pays shipping? Can you negotiate if you take it all?
I would buy all offered at face, and keep in the mint issued rolls but search the Loomis rolls. If the wheats are guaranteed unsearched, then I would pay the 3x. If not, I would offer them 2x face for the wheats. TC
