HI IT'S ME AGAIN I ALSO WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE'S EVER SEEN A PRESIDENTIAL DOLLAR ROLL WITHOUT ANY WRITING ON IT AND ONLY HAS THE RED EDGE PRINTED ON IT. I FOUND IT IN A Monroe BOX OF $1,000 AND IT WAS THE ONLY ONE LIKE IT IN THE ENTIRE BOX. WOULD THIS BRING A PREMIEM OR WOULD IT BE LESS APPEALING BECAUSE THERE IS NO NAME OR ANYTHING ON IT? ALSO IN ANOTHER BOX I FOUND A ODD ROLL THAT WAS IDENTICAL TO REGULAR ROLLS BUT IT WAS PRINTED IN LIKE A GREY COLOR WRITTING AND THE EDGE MARKING IS ALSO A GREY COLOR BUT IS MISSING "JAMES MONROES" NAME. WOULD THIS BE WORTH ANYTHING? BOTH OF THESE ROLLS ARE HEAD TO TAILS SO YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO TELL WHICH PRESIDENT THEY ARE.
Honestly, I don't think anyone cares about the wrapping paper.....just open them up and check for errors. And please turn off your caps lock. It is considered shouting on the Internet and not appreciated. Thanks
with the morons on flea bay it will be more like... " MS-70 UNIKE RARE ROLL... WAIT A SECOND... lol I just looked up at the quote I'm posting and I see you already mis spelled half the things I was going too.. lol :desk:
When you consider that the paper without the name on it is just the standard wrapping paper that String & Son makes for wrapping the dollar coin, and there is no way to prove that it came from an original box there would be no extra value. (Look at it this way, after you open all the other rolls and check them then take them back to the bank, if they get rerolled it will be in paper just like the "error" roll you have. How would you tell them apart?)
Well, supposedly there's no true way to tell if a coin is "first strike" or not, and we all know how that played out for awhile...
Yeah, when you say it's a first strike and you can't prove it you hve to pay $500,000 to the ANA. So who and how much do we have to pay when we say "it came from an original box" and can't prove it?
