Aside from the obvious, can anyone tell me anything about this token?

I know you're wanting specifics about the origin & trade - but something that struck me as odd is the hole in the center as it drills through the 1/2 in 2 1/2. Odd.

Looks like a private token to me.

 

I have one of those, but I don't recall if I have a location/id for it. My nights have been busy (as well as my days), so I was checking in from work today. Not sure if I will be able to do any research before next week, but I will see what I can find then.

 

BTW, I recall having one since I collect tokens with my name (and variations/similarities of it) on them, and my last name is Shafer. I don't think mine is holed though.

 

I just wanted to say that I didn't forget about checking on this token. Taxes took wayyyyyy more time than I thought, and now I'll be in Mexico thru the end of this month.
