    Picked up a couple nice coins for my prime number set, including one to start filling in the 16th century.

    That is the most unique way of collecting i have heard of. Really tough to get down into 3 digits I'm sure.

    I actually might be able to if I use AH-dated coins. I haven't looked into it. It's not currently planned, though.

    Considering the first coin to be dated in Arabic numbers was 1234, that's right.

    That was the first coin to have an AD date on it. It was in Roman numerals, and is not considered collectible, since only one is known in private hands. Fortunately for me, it's also not a prime number. The first coin with a date expressed in arabic numerals is from St. Gallen in Switzerland, and is dated 1424.
