Yes, I agree with what seems to be a developing consensus: number two. Why, I asked myself? After some head-scratching, I decided that what made the “overall look” of #two preferable was what I see as slightly greater detail, esp. in the gown. In any case, they are both splendid and another tribute to the good taste of Eduard.
I like #2 much better. Of course that is based on these images alone and might change after seeing both pieces in-hand.
One other consideration is that #1 has already been graded by NGC (if in fact that is a straight-grade holder), whereas #2 appears to be raw, and therefore more of an unknown quantity in terms of TPG slab outcome (if @Eduard even cares about plastic).
Coin 1 has a better strike but coin / has fewer marks and in my opinion better surfaces. I prefer coin 2
Thank you all for your opinions. I must say, I was not expecting coin 2 (my coin) to be overall more appealing per concensus, but I tend to be very strict about my own coins. It is actually better in hand than my pictures show. As some of you have pointed out, coin 1 is in fact graded (NGC EF45). It also has the CAC approval.

You are correct @lordmarcovan, plastic does not play a role in my enjoyment of numismatics. However, I do certainly respect collectors who feel it is important for them.
Both appear to be the same variety, coin 1 is a little sharper, coin 2 has a little better surfaces, but may have had a light cleaning long ago.
