I was on vacation last week and managed to go to two coin auctions and picked up a Belgian relief medal at the Herbert Hoover museum in Westbranch IA. The first auction I came away with a 1892 Columbus commem half for a decent price. The second Auction I picked up a 1928 F two dollar bill lightly circulated for $2 and a crisp 1934 ten dollar bill for twelve dollars. I also bought a 1852 large cent that thanks to my price-gude I took, I paid way to much, but I like the coin. Before I left I looked the guide over on coins I am familiar with and the prices looked good. When I got home I checked completed auction results and about cried. Oh well. Here are a couple pics of the medal and the cent.
As long as you like the coins you did not pay too much - of course I know what you mean, but still... As it is I like both the coins..
