$2 notes question

    Are this $2 notes stamped or what are those lines? Any idea?

    Those are part of the teller stamps that were on the straps.

    The very edge of a tellers stamp. That makes them damaged.

    When a teller counts out bills they put s paper strap around them and stamp the paper strap with a tellers stamp. It's self inking, then they write their initials on the paper. Sometimes part of the tellers stamp gets onto the top bill.

    We see this a lot on CT. On your next trip to the bank ask your teller about it. I'm sure they would show and explain this to you. My bank would. :)
