Possible 1950 D Nickel Error

    Hi
    I don't have a picture now, but I have a 1950 D Nickel that looks like the 0 is near the top of the coin. The material below the 0. Which kind of threw me off. It could still just be a 1958 or 1959 nickel if that is usually a rub off case. Has anyone else ever seen this.

    One way people used to make fake 1950 D nickels was to alter 1959 D nickels through alteration by removing the tail of the 9. In a few cases they would use a 1956 and remove the tail of the 6. I don't think I have seen an altered 58 D but they may exist.

    Still a good photo would be nice.
