Question on 2019 quarter boxes (searching for the 'W')

If you're lucky enough to find one, will the rest of the box be a mix of:

1) all dates, or
2) all 2019?

I may be wrong, but it is my understanding that the 2019 W Lowell's were mixed in with other 2019 P Lowell's and 2019 D Lowell's, separately. I take that to mean that Denver distributed them apart from Philadelphia.

That's kind of what I thought, too.

So, if I get a box of quarters from the bank and see older dates, there's no sense looking through them for "W" quarters, yeah?

Unfortunately, the only rolls of quarters I got from the bank when I wanted to coin roll hunt were wrapped in mid/late 2018 because the newest coin was a 2018 Voyageurs quarter (yes, the common one with the duck).

 

I've seen people pulling them out of mixed boxes and also out of solid 2019 boxes.

 

This one is on ebay right now with a bid of 22.00 First and only one I have seen so far.

 

When you say you've "seen" them, you mean posts in threads on other forums, right? Not Youtube videos or in person, I assume?

 

Correct. Not personally. I've only searched about $1k in quarters since they came out and have come up with nada.
Also, I never watch youtube haha. At least not for coins.

 

Aren't the Philadelphia and Denver Mints supposed to be distributing the W mint marked coins randomly ? That was all I heard about them .

 

I've heard that people are finding them in the "Loomis" paper rolls the most.

 

Better check eBay again, there are a couple/few rolls going from $600s to $900s for 40 quarters!

 

I've searched 4 boxes of quarters, and no luck! Not even a 2019 P or D.

 

Well if some came out and weren't pulled by collectors they would have gone back to the banks and been rerolled with mixed date coins.

 

I bid on that coin. I won it for 24.00 Being in Az, I don't think I'll see any, if ever. I have friends and family searching for me. Last roll I saw sold for $875! :O

 

If you keep an eye on eBay, I think you got yourself a bargain. Cherish it.

 

So, a roll for $600 would work out to $15 per quarter....

 

It turns out that these 2019-W Lowell quarters are cheap compared to the prices I'm seeing for the 2019-W American Memorial Park quarters, they're going for over $100 a quarter!

 

Ask your bank to order a couple boxes from the Fed. All the quarters in the box will be 2019. My bank will get me 2 boxes, but when they need enough bills to make it worth their while.

 

I have been through 6 boxes of old mixed quarters in the last month. In 3 of the boxes the newest quarter in them was 2018. In the other 3 boxes I have seen Lowell and already seeing some American Memorial Park mixed in. I just found 2 "W" Lowells in one box and 1 in another. Out of those 3 boxes I have probably seen 25 or so American Memorial Park quarters and 50 Lowell quarters. Finding 3 "W" out of 3 boxes is amazing I think. So it is certainly worth going through a box of mixed dates as long as it is a newer box because they are certainly circulated in now.
