1838 Cent OBV Scratched.... Question

    There is a cluster of hairlines in the obverse left field... but the disruption at 2 o’clock is a die break, correct? I just wanted to make sure they are referring to the hairlines and not that.

    It’s a handsome coin otherwise, luster under a light source. Thanks.

    Not a response to your question. Just wanted to echo that yes. That is quite the handsome coin. I love when those old coppers develop those red hues.

    1838 N-4 later than die stage A (perfect obv), but before Stage B (crack from rim next to star 9 to head, crack from 83 into lowest curls) The crack by star 9 is present but the other crack isn't. An R-2 variety.
