There is one. But there is also a time-out function in the forum software. Simply put, if you are inactive on the forum, and inactive is defined as not navigating the forum in one way or the other, for somewhere around 15 minutes - then you will be automatically signed out. And yeah, the same thing even happens to me. So, if you're gonna write a long post, open another tab with any forum page and every 10 minutes or so click on another forum link. Do that and you'll stay signed in for as long as you stay active. There is, and it's even automatic. The forum software automatically saves all drafts. So if you get logged out, and then come back and go straight to the same thread, even the next day - that draft is still gonna be there in your Post Reply box. It'll be greyed out, but it'll be there. And soon as you click in the Post Reply box again, it won't be greyed out anymore and you can continue typing your posts right where you left off. OR - if you don't want to trust the software, you can save things yourself easy enough by putting them on your own clipboard. Simply right click in your posting box and then click on Select All. That will highlight all of your text. The right click again and this time select Copy, and this will put all of your text on your clipboard. And it will stay there on your clipboard until you click Paste. Of course once you do that it's gone. What I'm describing here works on a computer, I have no idea how to do it on a phone, or even if it can be done on a phone ! Or a tablet for that matter.
Hey Doug, it's Doug. Thank you for being so Doug. This Doug really needed your Doug Ness as this situation drives this Doug DOUGGIE, I'll tell ya. Lol enuff of that. Thanks for all the info. Ill just have to get used to the timer thing, and maybe I'll just get used to not making it so long,,eh ok my friend. Hope you're having a great weekend. I have to run out and try to figure out if my Son-in-law blew his engine in his Honda. But that just makes me miss my ElCamino. Later Foo out
Oh there's lots of Dougs around here, but only one of me. In the entire internet there is only one GDJMSP. Of course whether that's a good thing or not - wellllllll, it depends on who ya ask
Now that, to me that's the confusing part. I'll readily grant I can be at times, assuming I wish to be, but the vast majority of the time that is simply never the case.
Wow, Doug -- I never got into subtleties like that until my final year studying temporal logic. Right along with "Sometime is Sometimes Not Never".
LOL ! Leave it to you Whatsamatter Jeff ? You don't recognize the differences in terminology ? For example, there is majority, simple majority, supermajority, vast majority, absolute majority - and each one of them are different things with different meanings. Or is it that you do recognize them and are surprised that I would use them ? And don't even get me started on the superlatives of never
WOW I'd fall down trying to figure that one out. Our local radio station uses a line just before an air brake saying "if youre ever in need of not nothing, then I'm your man!"
As I recall, you didn't really need pharmaceutical assistance to get your head around it, but it helped.
