I think this is super fun and neat but is it objectively collectible? There are nice sized die Chips on both sides, both wheat stalks and a die crack across Lincoln's forehead.
Anything is collectible if you want to collect it. not really any premium added to value, but fun to find. I find die chips cool and separate them from other coins for safe keeping. Nice find.
Nice Die Chips. They are a good size to be noticed without a loupe. Common for 1950's cents, so not much value added for them.
I find it fun to sort out the minor deviations and save them. If you have the time it adds to the collecting experience.
I started looking at the die chips in the 1957-D wheat cent and found over a roll (56 to be exact) in the bottom loop of the B in Liberty and a few BIE cents if you remember when they was a issue that soon died. Flash in the pan I guess. People collect what they like and I guess that's what makes coin collecting so fun.
