you know.. seeing as how we're on the topic of youtube... have you guys seen those videos where theres a guy showing off his coin collection??
he just pours them all over the table and mauls them showing the whole world what he has hidden in his house!

 

Yes, it's amazing how they treat their coins, and more into bragging then keeping their coins.

 

I was going to try this with my NNC slab, but I broke it with my teeth serious.

 

Just a wasted of time and possible a back injury. Much easier method is a Butane Torch. You just melt all the material away from the coins.

 

I suggest microwave... may as well blow up your house while you're ruining your graded collection.

 

sticks of dynamite would work but only if you have a license to possess and use such materials.

thermite would work and you can make that at home.

 

Maaan, was it just me, or did anyone get a chill down there spine and flinch a bit when he started?

I've busted a few out of third party slabs... I use a Dremmel tool with a mandrel and a cut off wheel and slowly cut around the seams... Throws a lot of hot plastic around and can be messy... But no chance of hurting the coin inside...
