Yeah - they have great unsearched lots and I think everyone comes with SVDB. :) Maybe I should add a disclaimer to not buy unsearched lots off of ebay.

Lol, I'm trying, it's just I'm trying to think of a good round for it. I think 2 more people need to get to the top five, and then I'll need some rounds for them. I have one in mind, but I was wanting to save it for the top five, but thinking now I'm gonna probably do that. Should hopefully have the next phase up next week, keep your eyes peeled. ;)

LOL. Provenance. I knew someone would call me on that. You cant push my buttons. This place is way to laid back for that:)
It is one svdb that has a provenance, I personally havent seen to many with one. It formerly resided in the Norweb collection.

Not sure how many collectors are into the provenance thing, but I do like knowing a big time collector of their day thought it deserving enough to be in their collection.

I would love to have it in mine thats for sure.

One thing about this site vs across the street. No uppity snobs here, we do not judge others on their wallet or their connections.....

Here in Phoenix, we call it Snottsdale for a reason, uppity and snooty people. This site is not like that.

A couple of months ago I bid on a Proof Liberty Nickel on Teletrade. I don't recall the exact grade (probably PF-64 or 65) but it had a provenance. It had been in Walter Breen's collection. I bid a fair amount over Grey Sheet but it was a No Sale. I don't know what the reserve was for that coin.

So far this site has been very positive in my collecting.
I have afew "pricey" coins, but Im mostly a budget collector. I like collecting what I can afford.
Not knocking the "big" money spenders, just not one of them. Yet.

If I had a choice between 2 coins that were very similiar in apperance, and 1 had a provenance and 1 did not. I'd go with the one that had it.

Its theonly provenanced coin I own currently, but I do plan to add some more. Maybe a coin from all the "great" collectors. Like a type set of sorts.
