Help identifying a possible Roman gold coin.

  1. Hi i need help identifying a coin. I think it is a Roman coin and from some testing I have done I think it is made of gold. The coin has a weight of 27 grams. It is 3,6 cm across and 0,3 cm thick. I appreciate any help I can get with identifying this coin.

    It is fake. The cast mushy details give it away as being fake.

    The size and weight tells me it can't be gold. It is slightly smaller in diameter than a morgan dollar and slightly thicker, but weighs just about the same. A gold coin that size would probably be close to 40 grams. A double eagle is smaller and thinner than what you describe and it weighs 33.46 grams
