Watch out for POPS on eBay. It took nearly a month to get a coin after he received payment. Not only that, but the coin was not the pictured item, as was stated in the auction, plus it was a poor coin.

This guy also goes by Coin_Carolina. He has an automated feedback system so that you will only get positive feedback if you leave positive feedback. He told me he's too busy to do feedback manually but he does have time to post nasty replies to anyone who leaves him negative feedback.

I only spent $25.00 on the coin so it isn't worth my aggravation to jump through all of ebay's hoops to launch a complaint but I wanted to let others know.

I have a real issue with eBay's seeming lack of concern for the way feedback is handled. They don't really seem to care what goes on with feedback and they should, because feedback is the spine of trust that eBay runs on.

No, the fee system is the spine of eBay. Feedback is just a little tool that is pretty much useless anymore.

I have always avoided those auctions with Pop's in the title. I never agreed with the shipping costs so I never bid from them.

I have bid on a few of POPS auctions, but have always been outbid.

I didn't know there were automated feedback systems. are those ethical or even legal?

I contacted eBay and there attitude seems to be that they pretty much don't care what goes on in the feedback forum. The comments are there and its up to each individual to make their own judgements. After this experience, I think I am through with eBay. The only problem is that, for the most part, I have found some fairly decent coins there at good prices and from honest vendors.

well, as with anything in life, there are a lot of good ones a a few bad ones, if you get in your car and drive you know that most of the people you encounter are good drivers and some bad, should you give up driving for fear of encountering a bad driver. instead, when you see a bad driver, know how not to get into an accident with them. like ebay, know when it sounds too good to be true.
