I would open the link expecting to find a BMW for sale and be quite disgruntled at the idiot who wasted my time by advertising a Porsche as a BMW. The listing titles are for a reason. Title your merchandise appropriately. People looking for hole fillers should not have to bother looking at auctions for coins that are likely to fetch higher-end prices. People looking for higher grade coins will not be pleased finding such very low grade coins. Just title it correctly.
First of all welcome to the forum. I'm sure if you do a lot of reading you'll get a good feel of how many of us look at things on ebay. If you read my original post you'll see how I feel. HAD you really gone off on a full disclosure instead of looking for "hits" I would applaud you. As it is I don't. Yes, people want to make money on ebay but not giving enough credit to buyers? People are smart? Well, some are and a LOT of them hang out here. Of course millions of uneducated and just downright idiots hang out on ebay. Us "smart" people know that and we all treat it differently. Would ebay love your auctions as worded? Of course! Ebay is a greed machine. Smart people know that too. Now if you'd like to see my most recent auctions PM me. Yep, outlandish titles but chocked full of information to educate potential suckers. Once again I'm glad you came aboard and hope you'll remain. Some very interesting points of view here on CoinTalk. As for your nephew's purchase perhaps he DOES need to learn a lesson the hard way but, on the other hand, sounds like he could learn a lot from his uncle. PR70? SGS slab? clembo
They pulled the auction and several others. As for Collectorofcoin, you agreed to abide by the eBay rules when you listed the coins. Even though I do not agree with all of the rules, I follow them. Why should you be special and not follow them.
