Hey Spock1.. Ordered this note 2 weeks ago and had a lousy pic...just scanned it in a few min ago as the note came in todays delivery! Thanks for looking! RickieB
u know i am thinking buying all that gold is making me broke why not switch to paper money completley instead of just waiting for the BEP to turn out sets. i need to buy 30 or so coins then i think i will forget the gold and ge ton this. i am sure they must be cheaper than gold
Well not really Spock....I started buying bullion back in 2002 and bought close to 50 oz. I have sold 50% of it and I am adding to my Large Size collection. This note was $xxxx.00 The Battleship $2 Series 1918 was $xxxx.00....and many more you see in the collection are high dollar notes for me. Just imagine the folks that spend tens of thousands on a single note. This is about my limit...but I want to build a quality collection. Rickieb
hmm i need a new finance scheme since my coins are all high end collectibles that arent going to go on the chopping block. maybe if i stopped giving silver away. from what you have said doesnt sound like 40k willl get me very far.
Spock1.... Whatever your interest, before you plop down that 40K...make sure it is what you want to do! The notes I am buying are earmarked for my Son 20 years from now. I am just having fun with them and have learned alot about notes in the process. A few Dealer friends have asked if I would like to join in on a live Auctionsometime to see all the "Big Boy's" bidding on the really scarce notes! That would be a blast! Good luck in your choices. RickieB
a 64 PPQ ... you never cease to amaze me RickeyB!!! I dont know how many times i can say it... but you always make me jealous with each note you post Very nice!
Daggerjohn... For me, all you guy's here are like electronic friends who share the same passion for notes as I do! I only display them to socialize and exchange views, thoughts, and inspirations with all here in the Paper Money fourm. Each of us have our own little place we share our passion and getting to know you and the others from remarks made on this and other fourms, well it is way to express our accomplishments with each other cuz the excitement is surly not the same for someone who does not collect or even undersatnd what we are doing! Please do not feel that way...your collection is remarkable in its own right and your dedication, support and general demeanor toward this fourm and the hobby is fantastic! I am proud to have you and others here as electronic friends with the real possibility of eliminating the electronic part of it one day! Best regards to you Sir.. RickieB
oh dont mind me! I have no shame for own collection! i am proud of what i have accomplished with it. But, even still, i do envy yours It gives me a goal as i grow up, my kids grow, and my income grows ... i have something to shoot for
The funny thing with the large size US notes, I don't have any smaller ie $1-5's at all. Just $10's on up. The large size $1 Legals design actually was a long used design, from 1869, on up through the last printings in the early 1920's. And when you do encounter them, they are seldom found in a nice grade, they were usually very well used.
Beautiful note! It's really a treat to be able to view high grade notes like this one. There's just so much detail in these older notes. Lou
yo rickie i got the other $20 set today the other 4 thatr came out the lowest serial number was 1862 one in 2k the other 2 in 3k not as good as the last lot of 4
Very nice Note Rickie! I brought In a bunch of Canadian money to the bank today to switch over for American money and not even a star note. I was hoping so bad... but American Notes sure do look good!
