Nice looking coin, but not the only known 1820... a widely restruck reverse from the Russ Logan collection... Edit to add: not my coin or my pic. It's from the Bowers and Merena sale of Russ's collection in 2002.
I would put two Irish pennys (cents) on my eyes but legally the guy that cremates me will take them. It's a perk of the job. Will that will make him a coin collector.
@Kasia .... I have thought about your question since you posted it yesterday and after much deliberation I have arrived at this answer. I will be buried with this coin (thanks again to @C-B-D ) And we will both be buried in this...
Initially I thought of a $10 Indian because the design is stunning. But I decided on a 3 cent piece my dad gave me when I first starting collecting 60 years ago.
I've opted for cremation...not gonna take anything with me. Leaving all my crap for the rest of you to deal with.
Can ya have a 2nd choice too ? A raw German States/Baden 1831 Thaler... griffins fan here... my #2 favorite coin $371.00.
Maybe I'll get a decent photo soon. I have a 1943 S cent, MS67 CAC that is so sweet. This one may never leave me.
