Hi, I have a 1926 Liberty Peace coin and looks like the s is a g. I haven’t found any from this year searching the net. Is this worth anything? Thanks for your help.
The serifs of those S-mint Peace dollars can sometimes look different or strange if the coin is well circulated, or if the MM has a 'hit' or contact mark. A close up photo of the Mintmark would be helpful to make a determination of what it is
The top right side of the S has a hit on it. I see what you're talking about, but that's from contact with something, and isn't an error.
The mintmark is an S. Because of the shape of the mintmark, it will often look like a lower case "g" especially in the circulated grades. Here is a photo of a gem 1926-S Peace Dollar reverse (courtesy of Heritage). PS, you really shouldn't make more than one thread to ask the same question.
