Johannes Vermeer, girl with the pearl. Beautiful painting, kind of 'ancient' as well. Next try a 'stilleven'. Floris van Dyck, or Willem Kalf! By the way, my desk is the dinner table. Which my wife says is fine as long as i clean up before dinner.
well that works out good for all concerned......all great artist, i don't see the next ones creator on that list, but its a goodun!..
I use an 8 foot folding card table. It is absolutely deplorable at all times - my wife hates it. Somehow my organization makes sense to me. They say hoards grow organically and always make sense to the hoarder?
Who wants to recreate this fresco from Pompeii? Gold and silver on the left, bronze on the right. Mystery money bag in the middle.
I'll bet if most of us had room for a bigger table the surface of a 12' table would still be covered with coin stuff.
Just got home a little while ago, guess I'll post my shame too #nofilter @ominus1 and I both rockin' the USPS mailers on the desk, potentially still unpacked!
Ya know I get more of a kick seeing these kinds of "everyday" photos then new purchases sometimes. I admit I don't have a spread like some of you. Too much of a neat freak. Everything is put away.
You inspired me to snap a photo of my desk. Currently, I'm researching a new purchase. Crib notes to the right.
Speaking of old-time collectors, I like this one. "Portrait of a Collector" by Parmigianino (1523) in the National Gallery, London. Roman Republic collectors? What denarius do you think that might be? L. Marcius Philippus??
