it looks silver, but i have a feeling that it isnt, because otherwise.... why would you post a pic of it?

I'd say silver can't see the clad layer, but what's the catch?

Well considering i just went through over 1000 of silver halves i would say 90 silver

No tricks. I'm just trying to educate myself. I can't weigh it ..batteries went dead.

It looks like it could be a 40% silver clad half but it could also just be toning. My guess is 40% silver clad..........

These images does not do the coin justice. It very true to silver color in hand.
I just now asked my hubby if he thought it was silver and he agreed.

Now my understanding is the only silver for Kennedy half were in 1964 this as you can see is 1969d.
The coin is not toning whatsoever. It's as if I got it out of a mint roll. Could this one possibly been bypased

 

From 65 through 69 they were 40% silver. Looks like it is in good shape.
