Meow's CRH for the day has produced a very odd quarter. It is most likely PMD through some torching Meow would guess. But the lumps are quite high, and the obverse is not affected at all. The lumps don't seem to be blisters, as they are hard and don't compress under a claw. Any thoughts?
I think you have already correctly answered your own question purrfectly. Now you have me doing it. And I don't even like cats.
The reasons Meow was not saying for sure was because the other side of the coin is not damaged or concave at all. And the bulges don't seem hollow too. But what else could it be right?
I agree with others that Meow’s quarter is PMD. As to why one side is bulged and other not, I think the quarter has experienced fire damage. High temperature cause separation of clad in one area. The darkened area on left could be another indication of heat damage. Just my thought.
I hoard all my change. But this one, would end up in the trash bowl (to be spent again, or throw away in the trash).
Meow thinks it wont fit in the typical coin slot. Meow will see if the coistar will accept it. Meow doubts it, but maybe it will magically turn to silver as it falls in to the bottom tray.
