Obverse struck with a misaligned die. It also looks like there is an error on the edge. Any help is appreciated. 20190414_145510-1.jpg 20190414_145546-1.jpg 20190414_163434.jpg 20190414_163518.jpg 20190414_163555.jpg 20190414_163709.jpg

Cool error coin but I don't see anything on the edge.

The top and bottom edge has a groove cut into full circle obverse and reverse. It's not a bevel but a groove. Can this happen during the upsetting process?

I don't see anything either. IMO don't think it would happen during the upsetting process but couldn't say for sure.

    No.
    It happens during the strike.
    Partial Collar strike.

There are 3 dies.. Hammer Die, Anvil Die and the Retaining Collar. Coins with a reeded edge have the Reeds created with a Retaining Collar with Ridges.
