Fugazy Fugazy (or Fugazi) is a slang word which refers to something that is fake or damaged beyond repair. Despite a popular belief that this is an Italian slang word, the etymology is completely unknown. There was a guy in NY in the 70's and the business was: Fugazy Continental. A limo service.
