Oh, and another 1974-D DDO. I threw it back because it had "ring around the collar" from the roll crimping machine. :banghead:

Box #3 was a silver skunk but I did find 2 x 1974-D DDO. My pickup of cash register change from the local thrift store produced a very worn 1943-D quarter, my first silver quarter in a looooong time.
Box #4 is looking hopeful with 2 enders. Also topped off a bag and bought it along with 2 other partial bags of halves. I will post results later.

the main reason im going through all denominations of coin rolls is because i have a sister who was born in 2009 so im trying to get every design for that year to give to her as a birthday present. i have all the cent designs but am still working on the other denominations

picked up $95 in dimes from my bank's main branch. they said that i couldn't pick up rolls of change from that branch anymore after that luckily i have a closer branch to go to. in those rolls i found a 1953-D and my oldest dime ever a 1917 (really worn so not sure about MM)winged liberty(mercury). i need to get what looks like a mix of dried dirt and hart gum off of the obverse. i will post pictures as soon as possible. happy hunting

Probably won't. Gonna try some better imaging/lighting— if a datable pic comes out of that, will post.

1st 2 partial bags of halves:
Bag #1 - Sold to me for $22, no silver and only contained $18.18. First time that machine has been off. There were a bunch of dimes, 4 cents, and a quarter which must have been counted as halves.

I would have been bummed, except that the teller saved an envelope of foreign coins for me which will be nice to search and add to my foreign album. Also in the envelope were 3 wheaties (1943-D Steelie, 1945, 1955-D) - bonus! Some notable foreigns are pictured (India 1 Rupee, Zambia 1 Kwacha, Jordan 5 Piastres, 1940 Canadian 5 Cent, Peru 5 Centimos, & Nicaragua 1 Córdoba). I’m calling the 1 Rupee an “Aggie Rupee” because it has a thumbs up for “Gig ‘Em”. :woot:

Bag #2 - Sold to me for $101.50, contained $101.35 (had a dime, quarter, & Mexico 10 Pesos, lol). Also had 3 x 40%ers, yay!

    Bag #3 is on deck.

Bag #3 was an interesting story. I joined this bank in my town because they have 8 branches with coin counting machines. However after I opened an account there, none of the branches would sell me bags off of their machines. They said it was against bank policy. So, I decided to use them as dump stations and have been able to spread the pain around all 8 branches so as to not wear out my welcome. Well, in the neighboring town, they have 1 branch with a machine but it would not take halves. I stopped there once to dump halves and they had to hand count them! They did tell me that the halves they usually get are from local businesses including a liquor store (ca-ching!).

I pretty much forgot about that branch until recently when I heard they got a new machine that would accept halves. So, I asked about 2 months ago if they had any halves and could I buy the bag expecting them to say no like all the other branches. But they said they would call me when it was full and I could have it. At the time they told me it had around $530 in it. Well, I had to go over to that town this past Friday to have my carpal tunnel surgery stitches removed by my surgeon. I decided to take a bunch of loose searched halves so I could top off the machine and buy the bag. The teller was a different lady and was unsure about selling me the bag, so the Branch Manager came over to talk to me. Incredibly, she recognized me from one of my local branches and she tried to talk me out of wanting the bag, even offering to order a sealed box of halves for me instead. I politely declined saying I would prefer the bag if I could have it. She was super nice and agreed to sell it to me provided I was able to top it off. Oddly, the teller told me that there was $487.50 in the bag and I would need $512.50 to fill it. I wondered why it was lower but did not question it. They sold me the bag and when I got back to my truck, I could see a couple of silvers through the plastic including a Walker. The other thing I noticed is that they marked the bag with the date when it was put on the machine - 4/1/2019! I thought "Crap!", they got rid of the previous bag and didn't call me. I was surprised the bag already had $487.50 in it within 12 days and worried it would be mostly a dump from another CRHer.

Well I finally plowed through all of my dumped coins which were basically in the top of the bag, deciding to just edge check to hurry the process and not miss a silver. When I finally found my first silver, I switched over to checking every date and am glad I did as I found 3 x 1974-D DDO! But more importantly, I started finding the silvers. Here's the tally of the 37 silvers I found. 31 of them were 90%ers, the largest amount of 90%ers I ever found in one haul. HH!

    2 x 1941-D
    1942
    1943
    1962-D

I really get the feeling that the the pennies I'm searching lately have purposely rolled with ugly copper and not much of it.
I'll be selling a box tomorrow. Haven't a clue where I will replace it. Birthday yesterday was a lot like any other Saturday.
And other than that Mrs Lincoln how did you like the play?
