Either impurities or a bad mixture caused major limitations on this cent. Part of the lamination folded over and then got struck by the dies. Very dramatic looking. Also noticed on the reverse, on the opposite side of the lamination you notice the weakness of the strike along the wheat stock and part of the motto. I believe this is from the thickness of the lamination flap took away from the impact of the dies on the reverse, which is what resulted in the weak strike. This is a nice example of this error type. Enjoy!
