The wife enjoys searching a box of Kennedy’s looking for the elusive silvers. And I enjoy spending the time with her doing it. When we started we hit some great boxes and harvested a number of ‘64s and a couple of Franklins along with some really pretty Walkers. And a solitary ‘07 Barber. We also found over 30 40%ers, a handful of proofs and lots of UICs. Somebody’s collection went to the bank. Then things went dry and we would find a 40%er occasionally but not often. The last 9 boxes held nothing. Bought a box Friday and found NADA. Cashed them in today and swapped for yet another box. Well we’ve gone through half and found a ‘67, 2 ‘68s and a ‘69. And a very nice ‘43. FINALLY.
I'm looking forward to watching the coin roll hunting threads once the Great American Coin Hunt gets underway.
It takes time but it usually pays off. Well done and enjoy your find. It's nice that you and your wife share in this hobby.
I've went through roughly 300 rolls and only found 3 silvers and they were all in the same roll so congratulations and I wish I had your luck
