now i am sure that it is Km C#197

and my difficulty lies in that you have out the reverse of this coin in a turned position when photoing.
Its value is not that hign, around 5USD due to its condition.

This is not an Egyptian 5 para coin, but a Turkish. It is Turkey KM#728, with mint name Qustantiniyah (Constantinople or Istambul), with accession date 1293AH (=1876) of sultan Abdul Hamid II and reign year 3 (=1878).

I second this conclusion. The obverse and reverse are shown rotated 90 CW.

Thank you everyone. Sorry about the rotation but I had no idea what side was up or the obv. or rev.Totally lost!!Thanks again all and now I'll see if I can find it... Does the flat side dictate rotation?? John
