thought is from china...price isnt bad for all that silver if they're all authentic...I asked the seller and he said "this coins have been in my family for years" anyway...your thoughts? hehe if the seller wasnt from China probably I wouldn't started these thread...we already had a chinese seller with 50 "authentic" Trade Dollars for $100 bucks! (NOTHING against the fellow chinese people!:D )...so any comments on these?

    Thanks,

    Ivan

Edit: oh, and by seeing his other auctions he's no coin seller at all...

well, the previous auction has a lot of world coins and a few US Im interested...however after examining this other auction of his...

...you can even see a 1804 DOLLAR!!!! :D hehe...anyway, since I don't know much/anything about world coins I can say for sure they are all counterfeit (or whatever hehe - refering to my previous post)...but this 2 auction seems like another scam...

I really wanted to trust this guys!!! but is not easy!!!

There's a 95% probability these are counterfeit coins given the frequency of such fakes coming from China. It's certainly hard to tell from the pictures as they appear in the description. HOWEVER (big HOWEVER), I downloaded and enlarged the second picture down, the one with the silver dollars or whatever (I'm a Morgan fan). While most of the dates are just too obscure to make out, the 1798 and 1800 Draped Bust US dollars came through. I find it highly doubtful that these very scarce coins in such good condition could be authentic; they also would be worth thousands each. On one of the Morgans, I couldn't even see that there was a date on the coin; it looked like it was omitted.

If it were me, I'd keep far, far away from this auction.

BTW, I duly reported both auctions to eBay. I also emailed the current high bidder to caution him about the coins. He has two other current coin auctions, but I'm not qualified to pass judgement on either although I suspect they are also fake.

This is the first time I've ever contacted a bidder before an auction has ended. I took a chance and gave him my email address in the hopes he will respond. I just hope he doesn't flame me.

Well, whaddyaknow. EBay has yanked both auctions. Now if we could only get eBay to take action on Looks All Good To Me.
