Does this 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter have a full head? Has it been cleaned?

  1. @Evan8 and others who commented; looking at and talking about this coin made me realize that in general, I favor the look of a flying eagle reverse on a coin, as opposed to a sitting eagle reverse. In general. If that is such a thing. Something about the spread wings...

    I like the way you think. 4 me. Where on obverse is the signs of cleaning. Not a quarter person. Eagles wing on reverse. Our right!!! Looks worn. Not clean. I'm refering to @green18 on this one. Learn us where this cleaning is. We just don't know

    Many of the silver coins from this era have a slightly Matte surface, not the brilliant surface, found on the later pieces. This many have had something to do with the artists' contention that the "garish" bright surfaces distracted from their designs.
