Is that scrap copper? Part of the rim? Any thoughts?

Paid $50 at the Show in Buffalo this morning. Was it worth it?

Joe, the area just past Trust looks like a
rim burr, but I don't know what the rest of
the 'lines' are just inside the rims, especially
    around IGWT

The rim of the coin, from about 11:30 to 3:30,
looks damaged, and I can't tell from the photos
if the 'lines' inside the rim are part of that.

This is one of those coins I'd love to examine in person. I think you did fine, as it's got to be worth the $50 just to have it to study.

Strange one. Definitely interesting. What does the edge look like?
