There is a recent new edition of the Terry Cox book "Collectible Stocks and Bonds of North American Railroads". It lists quite a few that were not in the last edition. Sadly, some of the values have decreased on ones from my MA collection. I really think they are still among my gems. For a piece of history, and some lovely engravings, you can't beat the prices on many of the certificates. I especially like ABNC, but there are others as well.
Rusty, good to learn you're interested in stock certificates. I've got a nice collection around here that I haven't looked at for some time. CoinTalk member gsalexan is probably one of the most knowledgeable people around when it comes to stock certificates. PM him and he'll respond w/ a list of good vendors and helpful information on where to find prices. He helped me a lot when I was collecting them. Every year in virginia there's a Friday/weekend gathering of collectors and vendors. I went for a couple of years then another one of my collecting compulsions took me in another direction. Checkout American BankNote Co. Also, ABNCo currency is very collectible though getting more expensive. Also, some of the old notes for Czechoslovakia amazingly beautiful.
