Was it worth it? No. Am I glad I tried it to see what all the hype was about? Yes.

Will I do it again and lug 25 lb boxes to my car by withdrawing $500 bucks at a time only to immediately redeposit most of it? Nope.

Would you still be saying this if there had been two Walkers, four Frankies, one 90% JFK, six 40% JFKs, and a coin with a noticeably clipped planchet?

I think it's the treasure hunting aspect of it that folks find enjoyable. Because... you never know.

But yeah... I understand your sentiment about it not being worth the effort. Some folks have the fever for treasure hunting and others care less for the hassle.

It is the proverbial crapshoot, I suppose.

But hey, congrats for not striking out completely. You did get "silvered"!

myownprivy- I see what you mean. But, I think you have plenty of competition with roll searching. Nothing gets by most CT members who find a variety of interesting coinage.

One time I found a 1918 walker in a roll of halfs.
