Hello there, new to forum and been intensively hunting my till for the past few months at the state-ran liquor store i work at, there's cameras everywhere and i constantly swap coins from the till to my pockets after carefully examining every date and mintmark with my 30x lens. Why haven't been fired yet you might ask? Probably because working retail in government is basically on the same tier as prison labor.

Enough about me, found this recently, at first glance it looks like normal post mint damage but the cut is evenly smooth. I thought it was called cud error but i guess not, if it is an error, is it called a cut error?

    Thank you.

It is a struck on clipped planchet coin. It has a nice Blakesley Effect and all. But it is not a Mint Error as the planchets are not made at the mint.
