Ive tired to do a little research on my own and cant figure out what or how much this is? Any suggestions?
It's a Brazilian Cruzeiro from 1942 until 1986. It was also changed from a Cruziero nero i believe, back to the cruzeiro from 1990 t0 1993. 1 'Real', which is the current Brazilian currently is worth about 60 cents in US Dollars right now. I reckon that since the cruzeiro you have is older, it may be worth more than that. Hope that helps!
It is Pick #132, a 1 cruzeiro note from 1943. This series was handsigned. All the denominations have hand signatures. Can you imagine that on millions of notes? They are not all the same signature. They must have had a room full of people who did nothing all day long but sign notes. They are pretty common notes and can be found for about $10.00 in AU/UNC.
