Those are super details for a 13mm coin. It has a beautiful Medieval gestalt.

Well, I won this coin in the same auction, a 23 mm double dirham of the Ilkhans, ruler Uljaytu, dated 710H = 1310 AD and minted in Tabriz. Isn't it a beauty, too?

That is a magnificent coin, Pellinore Congratulations on your win. I think I ended up winning the AV Heavy Dinar Sultaniya Mint/ AH722 Abu Sa'id/ Ilkhans of Persia/ FDC.
I had a AV Dinar from him, but it was a Anatolian imitation from same time period, NM/ ND.

Great that you won that extremely beautiful coin, Panzerman! The silver coins of the period, if in the best condition, are usually not quite centered. The gold coins of the Ilkhans at that time were more carefully made.

 

Very nice addition to the collection.
