Almost all German collector coins come in two versions: unc or BU, and proof or PL. And the proof pieces always cost more. As for the Munich Olympics coins, we are talking about a volume of 2.35 to 4.875 million, plus 125,000 to 150,000 proof coins, per issue and mintmark. As for the surcharges, I just checked muenzen.eu, and they do not have the issue prices for DM proof coins. (For example, here is the first Olympics issue.) The euro collector coins however come with that info. Side note: This applies to silver pieces; the gold coins cannot be had at face. Christian
