Here's another fairly recent error purchase, a 1822 Large Cent split planchet. The entire reverse is missing. The coin is on the dark side and has a small amount of rim damage at 10-11 o'clock. What do you expect for a coin this old? I can only hope to look this good at 197 years of age. lol

Wish I knew. I have a war nickel that is a split planchet but I have both halves. I'll post in a minute.

How does ANACS know that the two coins are related. I mean you could have just gotten two 1944 P split planchent nickels and claimed they were together?
Your coin looks to have gotten some wear before it split. It seems to be lacking wear on the split side of each half. Very awesome pieces.
